Egg Gatherer is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. This position makes routine checks at the barns to gather eggs, wash, disinfect, count and tray the eggs, clean and disinfect poultry houses, verifying quality and accuracy of products, all while making safety the number one priority.
While performing the duties of Egg Gatherer, the employee is regularly exposed to live birds in a hot to cold indoor/outdoor environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the farms. All employees working in the farms must follow all BioSecurity measures, including, but not limited to showering in/out and wearing company-issued uniforms. Employees may not own or come into contact with anyone who owns pet birds, poultry, sheep and/or hogs, or anyone who works in another poultry farm or poultry processing facility. All employees in the farms must abide by all Animal Welfare policies at all times.
Principal Accountabilities
Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include: Gathering eggs and complete sanitation and inventory Maintaining proper feed and water lines Ensuring product safety and quality
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Must be 16 years or older Must not have poultry, birds of swine in household No one is household must work in a poultry or swine processing
Preferred Qualifications Poultry farm and/or other farming experience Experience working with personal protective equipment (PPE) Work history in the last 12 months
